Sophia Grace

Can you believe it’s been more than three years since Sophia Grace and Rosie became household names? It was September 2011 when their version of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” went viral after it was posted to YouTube and it was less than a month later when Ellen DeGeneres, hilarious talk show host and comedian, invited the duo onto her talk show and changed their lives forever. They’ve since visited her show regularly, been sent to Disneyland with their families, they’ve hosted red carpets, they’ve even starred in their own movie, and they’re more famous than ever. The duo is cousins from England, and Sophia Grace is the older of the two. The clearly more dominant cousin, she’s often the lead singer and the one who spends the most time talking. Sophia Grace recently dropped her new hit, a song called “Best Friends,” but there is one thing noticeably absent from her new single; Rosie. Has she finally decided to move on from her cousin? She’ll be 12 in a few months, and Rosie is only 8, so maybe the duo has made the decision to move on. Here are a just a few more things you might not know about Sophia Grace.

She Could Have Been a Big Movie Star

She Was Cast as Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods before dropping out of the role after critics claimed she was far too young to play a role with so many sexual undertones. Her parents made the announcement and it seemed that all was right in the world after her parents remembered that it’s not okay to do that to a child.

She’s Shy

Yes, it’s true. According to her parents, Sophia Grace is not an outgoing child despite the fact that she’s now an international celebrity who talks to any and everyone she encounters. This shy child has charmed people such as Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Maroon 5, not to mention stars such as Nicki Minaj and so many others.

She Gets Along Better with Adults

Aside from her bestie cousin, Rosie, it seems that this is a child more comfortable talking to adults than children. She opens up more around them and has a more difficult time with kids her own age. Well, most kids hate talking to kids their own age. They’re mean.
