Mischa Barton

Mischa Barton is an English-American actress with a net worth of approximately $3 million. She was born on January 24, 1986. Her parents are Nuala, a photographer, and Paul, a foreign exchange broker. She is the middle daughter with two sisters, and she was born in London. When she was only five, her father moved the family to New York City where she began school thanks to her father’s job. She became an American citizen in 2006 when she turned 20-years-old. She was only 8 when she began acting in shows Off-Broadway and developed a love of the art. She knew she wanted to grow up and be an actress as a career, and she was already a very promising actress as a child.

Her first performances received rave reviews from critics, and her fame began to grow. Throughout her time on and off Broadway, she starred with several very famous faces, including Marisa Tomei. As she began to gain more and more fame, she began to break into the movies. She was in movies such as “Notting Hill,” and “The Sixth Sense,” and she is famous for being the little girl that the boy in the movie sees when he is hiding. She also began acting on television in the soaps, which is where a great number of actors and actresses get their start. Her first soap role was on All My Children, when she was 8. She actually replaced Michelle Trachtenberg and took over her character.

She was a guest star on a number of very famous shows in the late 90s and early 2000s, but it was not until 2003 when she got her big break on television. She was cast as one of the main characters on a hit new television show that followed the lives of very upscale families in Southern California. It was called The O.C. and she played the role of privileged daughter Marissa Cooper. She was a popular girl who falls for the bad boy next door, and their lives were dramatic and crazed. She was part of the show for three years, until she made the decision to exit the show in 2006. She wanted to go on and do other things following her breakout role and newfound fame, but it turns out that she did not.

Mischa Barton seemed to have fizzled once she exited her hit show. Fans forgot Mischa Barton as more young women made their television debuts and she was stuck taking minor roles in less famous deals. She became obsessed with horror films and would only take roles in those, and it did not help her career. Mischa Barton was not on fire anymore. That’s when she began to spiral out of control beginning with a DUI arrest in 2007. She was also sued for not paying rent, she sued her mother for breach of contract and she dealt with a psychiatric confinement. She is currently slated to appear on a 2016 season of Dancing with the Stars, which she likely believes will help her fame.
